JOINING NHUMC

We would love to welcome you into our church family at New Hope United Methodist Church. Whether you are new to the faith, returning to church, or seeking a community where you can grow and serve, there is a place for you here.

Joining New Hope is a meaningful step in discipleship. We invite you to connect with us, learn about our mission and ministries, and discover how to take your next step—through worship, small groups, service, and community life.

You can join in one of these ways:
1. Transfer of Letter (you have been a member of another church)
2. Profession of Faith (you have been baptized but haven’t joined a church)
3. Profession of Faith and Baptism (you haven’t been baptized or joined a church)

COMMON QUESTIONS

Do I have to be Methodist to attend? +
No. You are welcome here—whether you are Methodist, coming from another tradition, or exploring faith for the first time.
Do you offer communion every Sunday? Who can take it? +
Holy Communion is offered on the first Sunday of each month in our worship service (10:30 AM). The United Methodist Church has an open table, meaning we welcome all who seek Christ. Gluten-free wafers are available.
What time should I arrive? +
Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the service time or Sunday School hour (9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.) to give yourself enough time to park and enter the building.
What do I wear? +
Come as you are. We want you to be comfortable while you’re at New Hope UMC. You’ll see people in a suit or dress—and others in jeans.
How do I join? +
We would love to talk to you about becoming an official part of the NHUMC family. Please contact:
